Assadi Capital is seeking to invest up to $100,000 in an established service business in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Alongside the company’s investment, our CEO, Alexis Assadi, would contribute his experience and take an active role in agreed areas of the business.
We are interested in partnering with an experienced owner who remains involved. You bring knowledge of your industry, customers and service delivery. We bring investment capital and a CEO experienced in managing staff, assessing financial risk, negotiating agreements, coordinating professionals and working through difficult situations.
Support for your next stage of growth
You may have opportunities to expand but need additional equipment, vehicles, tools or working capital. You may also need someone to take responsibility for the administrative and commercial work that increasingly competes with your time serving customers and supervising operations.
Our preferred investment would fund identifiable growth opportunities in a business with existing customers and an experienced operator. We may also consider purchasing part of an owner’s existing interest, depending on the proposed arrangement.
The purpose of the partnership is to combine capital with practical involvement, giving the business additional resources and someone who shares responsibility for moving it forward.
Businesses we are interested in
We welcome enquiries from businesses across Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, the North Shore, New Westminster, the Tri-Cities, Surrey, Delta, Langley and nearby Lower Mainland communities.
Our interests include:
- commercial and residential cleaning
- window washing
- exterior cleaning and pressure washing
- property maintenance
- landscaping
- tree services
- pest control
- painting
- plumbing
- HVAC
- appliance repair
- equipment rental
- vehicle services
- junk removal
- specialist sanitation
We look for established operations with paying customers, understandable financial records and a clear reason for bringing in an investment partner. Repeat customers and ongoing service agreements are particularly attractive.
What our CEO brings to the partnership
Alexis has operated Assadi Private Capital, Inc., a private lending business since 2013. His experience involves evaluating opportunities, making decisions with capital at risk, negotiating terms and managing responsibilities long after an agreement is signed.
He has worked through high-stakes situations involving incomplete information, conflicting interests and people under financial pressure. His experience includes managing difficult customer relationships, pursuing overdue payments, negotiating settlements and coordinating with lawyers, mortgage brokers, appraisers and other professionals.
His broader business background includes sales, customer service, staff management, administration and dealings with provincial regulators. These responsibilities have required attention to detail, clear communication, conflict management and the ability to follow through when circumstances become difficult.
Alexis also brings an established network of business contacts and professional relationships that may be useful as the business develops.
Practical involvement, with clear responsibilities
Depending on the business’s needs, Alexis could take an active role in customer follow-up, invoicing and collections, administrative coordination, staff coordination, commercial negotiations, procedure development and resolving service problems.
His responsibilities would be agreed with the existing owner. The aim is to give him defined work for which he is accountable, while building on the industry expertise and customer relationships already within the business.
Technical work and specialised service delivery would remain with appropriately qualified people. Alexis would learn the operation and focus his contribution on areas where his experience can be useful.
Before proceeding, we would agree on the investment structure, ownership, decision-making, operating responsibilities and compensation. A successful partnership requires a shared understanding of how the business will be run and what each party will contribute.
